This is a well made and thoughtful product. I was somewhat skeptical about how effect it would be, but I’m a convert now. The LED light option is worth the cost, the LED’s provide nice illumination for the fence area. Expect to spend 15-20 minutes the first time you install it on your saw and then 5 minutes or so on subsequent installations. I attached it to a wet/dry vac controlled by a current sensing switch so the airflow was weak and delayed. There was some accumulation of saw dust at the bottom of hood and I ascribe that to the airflow. I used the hood with a Dewalt DW716XPS saw mounted to a Dewalt Miter Saw stand (DWX723). I attached the stanchions to the rear legs of the miter saw using the same bolts used to mount the saw to the DW7231 Miter-Saw Workstation Tool Mounting Brackets.

I just got your model 5000 dust solution, mounted it in about 15 minutes including minor adjustments to my Dewalt mitre saw on stand and I am amazed! Hooked up to my shop vac with Dust Deputy there is no sawdust anywhere on the floor around the machine, any sawdust left on the machine is blown into the hood with the vac running and cleanup is done! What an awsome product!
